About Us

Starsdelight American Staffordshire Terriers is a small kennel on the southside of Brisbane dedicated to the preservation of the true American Staffordshire Terrier. We breed infrequently to fulfill our hobby and love for showing dogs. We will only breed for this reason so our litters are very carefully thought out and planned to offer the best temperaments and structurally sound amstaffs we can.

We purchased our first American Staffordshire Terrier puppy back in 2007 from Staffwild Kennels as a family pet for our newborn son to grow up with. Ace "Grand Ch Staffwild Rising Power" was the beginning of our love for this beautiful breed both inside and out. Ace's easy going and lovable nature quickly grew on us and we soon realised this breed is really special and adores it's family. Being a large breed we were worried Ace would jump on our new son but it was like he realised how small and precious Michael was and to this day he has never jumped up on him. This breed is a nanny breed. They will care for and protect us. They will try their hardest to please us but they are also a very driven breed. Basic obedience at an early age is very important for an amstaff to be well mannered and not be destructive.

In 2008, we began showing Ace and soon realised how much we enjoy showing dogs. This led us to continue our hobby and after many years of dedication to showing Ace, he gained his Grand Champion Title at 6 years of age. Along the way, he gained numerous respected awards including a Best in Specialty Show win and two Runner up Best in Shows at all breeds level. We cannot thank Karen enough for allowing us to own our beautiful boy and for all her help over the years. We would not have been in the position we are today without her help along the way.

In 2012, Quinny "Ch Amseraphs Majestic Ruler, came to us from Amseraphs Amstaffs in Sydney. Quinny is an exceptional example of the breed. Her temperament is impeccable and her structure is flawless. She is an amstaff that will melt your heart. Such a lovable and happy girl, she impresses everyone that meets her. We thank Kelly and Tim at Amseraphs Amstaffs for sending us this gorgeous girl to own and show and look forward to seeing what beautiful puppies she produces. Thank you also for all your help and continual guidance with your thorough knowledge of the breed. It is extremely valuable and very much appreciated!
